A story from Norman

A song. A graduation. A full-circle moment.

Returning to his first big stage, with a song he had written alongside APTS students.

At Alternative Paths Training School’s June 2024 graduation, Norman returned to the stage at Gar-Field Senior High School—the same stage where he had played a talent show in 1984.

This time, he brought a song he had written with APTS students about a year earlier. The performance connected his own musical beginnings with a new graduating class.

It is a story about music as something people make together: a shared song, a milestone and a place that holds more than one generation of memories.
